...and I’m not talking about the Valero Texas Open. Although tomorrow's Valero is part of our One & Done, so get your picks in if you haven’t done so already. With the payout being just north of $9 million I recommend you be like Rory and consider it a low stakes warm up ahead of the Masters.
There are too many storylines to cover leading into the tournament of tournaments this year, but the chiefest of concerns for this pool are the 13 names making their first appearance in a 2024 field. I’m of course referring to the LIV players, not least of which is defending champion Jon Rahm.
On one hand, saving your PGA players and picking LIV golfers in the only four tournaments they’re available for seems like sound advice… on the other hand, are you certain how Rahm, Brooks, and others are going to stack up against players they haven’t seen since last year's Open Championship? By the way, that was 9 months ago.
